The Specialist Rooms Williamstown was established in 1973 by Dr Russell Soppitt as an Obstetric and Gynecologist practice, Dr Soppitt retired from full time Obstetrics in 2007. He continues to work in the Williamstown community as a GP and as a surgical assistant working with a number of obstetricians including Dr Susan Hiscock.

Today the Specialist rooms has become a base for a number of medical professionals with a diverse range of specialties, including Obstetric and Gynecologist, Pediatrics, Rheumatology, Psychology and Ultrasound services.
